Paris: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Embassy in France marked International Women’s Day with a symposium titled “Saudi Women on International Women’s Day: Empowerment and Achievements,” highlighting Saudi women’s significant progress and contributions across various fields.
According to Saudi Press Agency, distinguished speakers included Shura Council members Raedah Abunayan and Dr. Auhoud Al-Shehail, as well as Human Rights Commission Council member Dr. Sarah Al-Faisal. From the French side, Vice-Presidents of the Saudi-French Friendship Committee in Parliament, Amelia Lakrafi and Estelle Youssouffa, participated in the discussions.
The panelists shared insights into the evolving role of Saudi women, shedding light on their growing influence in leadership, governance, and human rights. They emphasized the ongoing reforms and support systems that have facilitated women’s empowerment in the Kingdom.
The symposium brought together a diverse audience, including French ambassadors, diplomats, parliamentarians, leaders of organizations dedicated to women’s affairs, and prominent figures from French society.
