Istanbul: Saudi Consul General in Istanbul Abdulmajid Al-Dosari visited today the terminal dedicated to the Makkah Route Initiative at Istanbul Airport. He reviewed the terminal's operations and the procedures in place to facilitate the Hajj journey for pilgrims. He also commended the Makkah Route Initiative team for the services it provided to beneficiaries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Dosari emphasized that the initiative reflects the wise leadership's care and commitment to serving pilgrims, as well as its dedication to providing high-quality services that enhance their experience. The initiative aims to provide high-quality services to pilgrims from participating countries, including collecting biometric data and issuing Hajj visas electronically, completing passport control procedures after verifying compliance with health requirements, and tagging and sorting baggage according to transportation and accommodation arrangements in the Kingdom.
The Ministry of Interior has been implementing the initiative for the eighth year since its launch in 2017. Since then, the initiative has served 1,254,994 pilgrims.
