Jeddah: Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs branch in Makkah Region Fareed Al-Shehri received in Jeddah today a coordination team from the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in Riyadh. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed arrangements for the opening ceremony of the Consulate General of the Syrian Arab Republic in Jeddah, with the participation of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad al-Shaibani.

According to Saudi Press Agency, discussions focused on the logistical and diplomatic preparations necessary for the inauguration of the consulate. The meeting aimed to ensure that all aspects of the ceremony align with diplomatic protocols.

The coordination team expressed their commitment to facilitating a smooth opening ceremony. Both parties emphasized the importance of the consulate's role in enhancing bilateral relations between Syria and Saudi Arabia.
