Riyadh: The Saudi Authority of Internal Auditors has announced its membership in the Asian Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditors (ACIIA), the continental professional umbrella organization that brings together institutes and professional bodies specializing in internal auditing across Asia.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the authority stated that this membership reflects its commitment to enhancing cooperation and knowledge exchange at regional and international levels, in line with its efforts to advance the profession. It also strengthens the Kingdom’s representation in international forums and supports the implementation of professional standards.
The authority’s CEO Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Shebeili said the membership represents a qualitative addition to the authority’s journey, enabling it to benefit from successful experiences and exchange best practices. He stressed that this partnership will help raise the efficiency of internal auditors in the Kingdom, enhance stakeholder confidence in the quality of professional work, and ensure the reliability of auditing practices.
Al-Shebeili added that international partnerships are a key pillar in supporting the authority’s strategy, particularly in consolidating governance principles and enhancing commitment. He emphasized that this step extends the authority’s efforts to strengthen its regional and global standing and contribute to the development of the profession in line with the latest global practices.
