Geneva: Saudi Arabia strongly condemned and denounced the brutal Israeli aggression and the blatant violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar. This came in a statement delivered by the Kingdom’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and international organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Abdulmohsen bin Khothaila, before the Human Rights Council. He affirmed the Kingdom’s full solidarity with Qatar and its support for all measures it takes.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Ambassador bin Khothaila warned of the dire consequences resulting from the Israeli occupation’s criminal acts and violations, stressing that they constitute a flagrant breach of international law and international norms. He also reiterated the Kingdom’s firm condemnation of the ongoing Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, including displacement, blockade, and starvation policies, in clear contravention of international law and basic humanitarian principles.
The Kingdom further condemned the continued Israeli attacks inside Syrian territory, most recently the bombing of several areas in Homs and Latakia governorates. He added that Saudi Arabia calls on the international community to act urgently to halt Israeli violations and hold the occupying authorities accountable for crimes that undermine the security and stability of the region.
