Saudi Arabia’s Global Potential in Gaming and Esports Highlighted at Saudi Media Forum

Riyadh: Executive Head of Gaming and Esports at Qiddiya Mike Milanov stated during a session at the Saudi Media Forum in Riyadh that the Kingdom is positioned for a promising future in the global gaming sector. He noted that Saudi Arabia is home to numerous talented teams with strong esports-related skills, alongside significant creative and innovative potential in building and strengthening relationships at both the local and international levels.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Qiddiya City spans approximately 330 square kilometers, and more than 86% of Saudis identify as gamers. These factors, Milanov said, further reinforce the Kingdom's position as one of the world's largest and fastest-growing gaming and esports markets.

In the same session, Vice President of Sales at F1 Arcade Shelley Williams said the gaming experience is fundamentally rooted in a sense of belonging and participation. This shared engagement enables the development of stronger infrastructure and the creation of extended media experiences.

Williams added that the future of gaming and media lies in interactive, collective experiences rather than purely individual ones. She also highlighted the positive societal impact of modern games, noting that this generation is increasingly engaging in socially driven experiences that contribute positively to community interaction and connection.
