Saudi Arabia to Launch Environment Week Activities on April 20

Riyadh: The Environment, Water and Agriculture is preparing to launch Saudi Environment Week 2025 on April 20, under the slogan “Our Environment is a Treasure.” The event will see wide participation from public, private, and non-profit sectors, as well as individuals, highlighting the Kingdom’s commitment to environmental preservation and sustainable development.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative reaffirms Saudi Arabia’s leadership in environmental protection, aligned with major national efforts such as the “Saudi Green Initiative,” which aims to improve the quality of life and safeguard natural resources for future generations.

The ministry’s official spokesperson Saleh bin Abdulmohsen bin Dakhil stated that Environment Week aims to raise environmental awareness across all segments of society and economic sectors, adding that it seeks to promote responsible environmental practices, encourage community engagement, and foster a culture of sustainability.

The campaign will focus on educating the public about the importance of environmental stewardship and mobilizing collective efforts to protect natural ecosystems, ensuring environmental sustainability for future generations.
