Saudi Arabia Selected to Host 31st IAP Annual Conference and General Meeting

Riyadh: Attorney General Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujib has officially received the hosting flag for the 31st Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) from Lucien Wong, Attorney General of the Republic of Singapore. This significant handover occurred during the 30th conference held in Singapore, marking a pivotal moment for Saudi Arabia in the international legal landscape.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Sheikh Al-Mujib, in his address, articulated the Kingdom’s honor in hosting the upcoming conference in Riyadh in November 2026. He emphasized that the conference, themed “The Criminal Justice System in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities, Challenges, and Global Applications,” will reflect Saudi Arabia’s commitment to balancing tradition and modernity with justice and responsibility.

Sheikh Al-Mujib further noted that this opportunity underlines the Kingdom’s dedication to advancing justice institutions, reinforcing the rule of law, protecting rights, ensuring guarantees, and fostering international cooperation. This commitment is championed under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The attorney general highlighted that the hosting of this international event will be a crucial platform for exchanging experiences, reviewing practices, and forecasting the future of justice amid technological advancements. He expressed enthusiasm for welcoming participants to Riyadh for a collaborative event that seeks to enhance cooperation and support prosecution processes on both regional and international stages.
