The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is participating in the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Council 2023, which is currently being held in Geneva, with a delegation headed by the Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission Dr. Mohammed Al-Tamimi, and in the presence of the Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations in Geneva Abdulmohsen Majed Bin Khothaila.

The ITU Council 2023 session is the first for the member states elected at the Plenipotentiary Conference at the end of 2022. This session is scheduled to run until July 21, 2023.

The international community commends the great role that the Kingdom plays in the union as a member, which has been re-nominated in all electoral cycles since 1965.
