Thunderstorms and Rising Temperatures Expected in Parts of Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: A rise in the maximum temperature is anticipated on Sunday, coupled with thunderstorms in parts of the highlands of Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions. Dust-stirring winds are also expected to blow through these areas, as well as in parts of Madinah and Northern Borders regions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, winds over the Red Sea will vary, with northwesterly to northerly winds at speeds of 15-45 km/h in the northern and central parts, and northwesterly to westerly at speeds of 10-32 km/h in the southern part. The waves may range from half a meter to two meters, and the sea is expected to remain relatively calm.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds will be northwesterly to northerly at speeds of 15-35 km/h in the northern and central parts. In the southern part, winds will shift from northeasterly to easterly, eventually turning westerly to southwesterly in the evening at speeds of 10-28 km/h. Waves in this region may range from half a meter to one and a half meters, maintaining a relatively calm sea condition.
