Bahrain: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA), participated today in the fifth meeting of the GCC Ministerial Committee on Cybersecurity. The Saudi delegation was led by NCA Governor Eng. Majed Al-Mazyed, joining other heads of cybersecurity authorities from GCC member states and representatives of the GCC General Secretariat.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting focused on adopting common Gulf cybersecurity controls and frameworks, alongside approving a plan for conducting Gulf cybersecurity exercises. Discussions also centered around the progress of initiatives under the Gulf Cybersecurity Strategy Execution Plan for the years 2024 to 2028.

The committee reviewed a report by the GCC General Secretariat concerning the implementation of decisions made in previous meetings. Additionally, there was a review of a plan to launch the inaugural season of the 'Cyber Gulf' podcast initiative, a project by the Saudi Information Security Association (Hemaya). The initiative is designed to enhance cybersecurity knowledge and showcase Gulf expertise and experiences in the cybersecurity domain.
