Riyadh: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is supporting the development and testing of innovative products and solutions for the Hajj and Umrah services ecosystem through its Creativity and Entrepreneurship Program. The program empowers startups and connects their solutions with the needs of service providers. It forms part of the ministry's efforts to promote innovation and entrepreneurship and enhance services for pilgrims.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the program aims to develop and test innovative products and help startups assess the feasibility of their projects and their potential use during the Hajj and Umrah seasons. It also fosters cooperation with service providers and relevant entities within and outside the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem. These efforts create opportunities to turn promising ideas and solutions into practical products, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Program.
The program targets innovators, entrepreneurs, startups, service providers, and other relevant organizations through two main tracks: Development and Innovation and Startup. The Development and Innovation track focuses on testing innovative initiatives and products and developing solutions that address challenges within the Hajj and Umrah services ecosystem. The aim is to transform these solutions into practical products that meet the sector's needs.
The Startup track focuses on identifying entrepreneurial solutions and services and connecting startups with service providers. It also creates partnership and investment opportunities to support business growth and service development. The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship and adopting practical solutions across the Hajj and Umrah services ecosystem. It also stressed the importance of enabling innovators, entrepreneurs, and startups to develop and test their solutions.
The ministry will continue strengthening cooperation with service providers and relevant entities to improve services for pilgrims and enrich their experience.
