Saudi Arabia Braces for Thundershowers and Flash Floods on Monday.

Riyadh: The National Center for Meteorology has forecast moderate to heavy thundershowers, flash floods, hail, and dust-stirring winds for several regions in Saudi Arabia. Areas expected to be affected include Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Qassim, Riyadh, and the Eastern Region. Additionally, fog formation is anticipated in parts of these regions as well as in Tabuk and Al-Jouf. A significant drop in temperatures is predicted for northern and central parts of the country.

According to Saudi Press Agency, winds over the Red Sea will vary in direction and intensity. In the northern region, the winds will be northerly to northwesterly at speeds of 25-50 km/h, while in the central and southern parts, they will shift to northwesterly to southwesterly, with speeds ranging from 15-60 km/h. Wave heights in the Red Sea are expected to reach from 1.5 to 2.5 meters in the north, and from half a meter to over two meters in the central and southern regions, with sea conditions ranging from relatively calm to ch
oppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, the forecast indicates that winds will be northeasterly to southeasterly at speeds of 10-50 km/h in the northern and central areas. In the southern part, winds will be northeasterly to easterly, reaching speeds of 10-25 km/h. Wave heights may range from half a meter to over two meters, with the sea conditions varying from calm to choppy.
