Saudi Arabia and Japan Collaborate on Space Exploration Memorandum

Riyadh: The Saudi Space Agency has entered into a memorandum of cooperation with the Japanese government, focusing on the peaceful use of outer space. This agreement was finalized during the Saudi-Japan Ministerial Investment Forum.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the memorandum involves Japan's Cabinet Office, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Abdullah Alswaha, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology and Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Space Agency, represented Saudi Arabia during the signing.

The agreement highlights Saudi Arabia's commitment to international cooperation in peaceful space activities and the fostering of strategic partnerships in this sector. The memorandum is set to establish a framework for collaboration in space science and technology, capacity building, and the sharing of expertise. This initiative is aimed at advancing the development of the space sector and promoting the peaceful uses of outer space.
