Riyadh: The Roads General Authority (RGA) has finalized its operational plans for the 1447 AH Hajj season, deploying specialized teams and advanced equipment across the road network to ensure the safe and efficient arrival of pilgrims to the holy sites.

According to Saudi Press Agency, preparations included extensive infrastructure maintenance, such as asphalt repaving, bridge inspections, and the installation of safety barriers. The RGA cleared millions of cubic meters of sand dunes and maintained thousands of lighting poles and directional signs to optimize traffic flow and visibility.

To enhance road safety and performance, the authority utilized over 20 modern technologies, including an AI-powered survey fleet-the world's largest-and drones for infrastructure monitoring. Continuous field supervision is provided by 300 inspectors, supported by the 938 call center for real-time user assistance.

These efforts reinforce the Kingdom's global leadership in road connectivity and infrastructure quality. With a network exceeding 73,000 kilometers, the authority remains dedicated to providing a high-quality, secure travel experience for pilgrims.
