Northern Borders Governor and Assistant Minister of Media Forge Strategic Media Partnerships

Riyadh: Governor of Northern Borders Region Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz received Assistant Minister of Media Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Maghlouth and his accompanying delegation at his office today. At the outset of the meeting, Al-Maghlouth conveyed the greetings of Minister of Media to the Governor.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting witnessed the signing of several cooperation and memorandum of understanding agreements between the Ministry of Media, the Northern Borders Region Governorate, and a number of related entities. These agreements are primarily focused on training and development, enhancing the capabilities of media professionals, and conducting research and studies to facilitate knowledge exchange and support the growth of the media sector.

The agreements also cover areas related to innovation, the development of media competencies, and the implementation of specialized programs aligned with sector needs. The signing ceremony concluded with a memorandum of cooperation between the Saudi Media Academy, the Principality of Northern Borders Region, and the Northern Borders Municipality. This agreement includes the design and implementation of specialized training programs, the provision of consultancy services, and the organization of joint workshops, seminars, and conferences.

The governor commended the leadership's continued support for the media sector and its rapid development, underscoring the sector's role in raising awareness, disseminating knowledge, and highlighting the region's development and cultural assets. He emphasized the importance of these agreements in strengthening institutional integration, advancing media capabilities, and improving the quality of media output, contributing to enhancing the region's media presence and showcasing its achievements.

The visit comes as part of efforts to strengthen coordination between the Ministry of Media and Northern Borders Region, in line with the objectives of Vision 2030 and to reinforce the region's position within the national media landscape.
