Riyadh to Host Routes World in October 2026

Riyadh: Riyadh is set to host the 31st World Route Development Forum (Routes World 2026) from October 18 to 20, 2026. Routes World is the world’s leading event focused on shaping the future of global air transport. It brings together key decision-makers from airlines, airports, tourism boards, and aviation stakeholders to discuss, plan, and negotiate future air routes.

According to Saudi Press Agency, General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) President Abdulaziz Al-Duailej stated that hosting Routes World 2026 consolidates the Kingdom’s position as a global aviation hub connecting Asia, Africa, and Europe. He emphasized that the event also reflects the rapid growth of the Saudi aviation sector, which is being driven by large-scale infrastructure investments and ambitious goals under Vision 2030.

He stated: “Hosting this global event in Riyadh reflects the Kingdom’s remarkable progress in positioning itself as a global aviation hub and premier tourist destination-fully aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. As the Kingdom prepares to host Expo 2030 and the FIFA World Cup 2034, this event further demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s capability to organize major international gatherings. It reinforces efforts to enhance global air connectivity in support of these milestones.”
