Jeddah: President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser received Middle East Green Initiative (MGI) Secretary-General Ibrahim Alturki at the bank headquarters in Jeddah today. The meeting focused on discussing prospects for future cooperation between the IsDB Group and the initiative, as well as the plans of the MGI fund to protect the environment and mitigate the impacts of climate change.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Al Jasser emphasized the significance of this regional initiative, led by the Kingdom, to address climate change. He highlighted the IsDB’s pride in being named treasurer of the MGI fund and reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to leveraging its expertise in fund management, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of efficiency, governance, and transparency.
