In its first entries, the reserve defined "wildlife" as encompassing all living organisms, including plants and animals, their natural habitats, and the ecological relationships among them. It also highlighted its efforts to protect the natural environment and conserve its resources by preserving vegetation, wildlife, and biodiversity within the reserve, as well as implementing specialized programs to propagate and protect endangered species.

The initiative also addressed the term "reintroduction," which refers to returning species to their natural habitats after a prolonged absence or local extinction. The reserve highlighted the success of its reintroduction programs involving several species, including the houbara bustard, Arabian oryx, Arabian gazelle, sand gazelle, and ostrich.
