The State of Qatar is following with great concern the current developments in the Republic of the Niger and calls on all parties to avoid escalation, give priority to the voice of wisdom, and pursue dialogue to overcome the crisis in the country.

In a statement issued today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar stressed the keenness of the State of Qatar to establish security and stability in the Republic of Niger. It also expresses its hope for preserving constitutional institutions and the rule of law to realize the aspirations of the people of the Republic of Niger for development and prosperity.
