Abu Arish: The Prince Mohammed bin Salman Project for the Development of Historical Mosques (Phase Two) has begun the restoration of Al-Abbasa Mosque in Abu Arish Governorate, Jazan Region. This mosque, which dates back to 1262 AH, is one of the oldest and most significant heritage structures in the region.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the restoration under the project aims to return Al-Abbasa Mosque to its original architectural grandeur. The renovation will use natural building materials and preserve its distinctive three domes. The stone and brick construction of the mosque will be preserved to uphold its historical and architectural importance.
