Riyadh: Prince Fahd bin Sultan Promenade in Tabuk remains a key tourist and commercial destination in the region, maintaining its economic importance while attracting visitors despite the city's urban expansion and the rise of modern shopping centers.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the promenade, located in the city's heart, houses over 320 commercial outlets, offering a variety of goods and services. Many of these shops have been operational for generations. The promenade also hosts seasonal events and programs, which bolster tourism and commercial activity.

Redevelopment of the promenade has been undertaken by the Tabuk Region Municipality, with a budget of nearly SAR20 million and in collaboration with the private sector. The redevelopment efforts included upgrading walkways, shopfronts, parking areas, sidewalks, and pedestrian paths, alongside creating investment opportunities. These enhancements have increased the promenade's attractiveness while maintaining its historical essence and architectural identity.

The promenade serves as an example of how historic sites can preserve their economic significance while adapting to urban development, contributing to quality of life and enriching the tourism landscape in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
