Riyadh: Coinciding with World Ranger Day on July 31, the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority affirmed that rangers represent a fundamental pillar in protecting natural resources, preserving biodiversity, and maintaining ecological balance across the reserve.

According to Saudi Press Agency, rangers utilize modern technologies, including drones for aerial surveys over vast areas, to enhance monitoring efficiency, improve response times, and curb environmental violations. Beyond regulatory enforcement and field data collection, rangers guide visitors, raise safety awareness, and help mitigate risks to ensure a secure environment.

The authority emphasized that continuously training rangers and equipping them with advanced tools is an investment in long-term environmental sustainability, supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by combining human expertise with innovative technology.
