Kuwait city: President of the General Court of Audit (GCA) Dr. Hussam Al-Anqari participated today in the 22nd meeting of the heads of financial and accounting audit bureaus of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, held in Kuwait.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation and the exchange of expertise in accounting and financial auditing among Gulf institutions, encourage the professional development of Gulf auditors, and reinforce joint efforts among member states.

Discussions focused on enhancing partnerships between Gulf audit institutions and the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), as well as on developing and qualifying Gulf auditors. Participants reviewed the strategic training plan for 2026-2028 and the joint training plan for Gulf financial and accounting audit bureau employees for 2026 and 2027. The meeting also addressed several other agenda items, with participants taking the necessary decisions to advance joint Gulf auditing efforts.
