Dhaka: President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir of the People's Republic of Bangladesh received Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr. Abdullah ibn Ubayya today. During the meeting, the ambassador conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also conveyed their wishes for the president's success and for the continued progress and prosperity of the brotherly people of Bangladesh.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting underscored the strong diplomatic ties between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia. Discussions were held on enhancing bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including trade and investment, cultural exchanges, and mutual support in international forums. Both leaders emphasized the importance of working closely to further strengthen the relationship between the two nations.
The meeting also highlighted shared interests in regional and international matters, with both sides expressing their commitment to achieving common goals. The Saudi ambassador reiterated his country's support for Bangladesh's development initiatives and expressed hope for increased collaboration in areas of mutual benefit.
