Parliamentary Committee: It is shameful that the file of the displaced people remains unresolved so far

The Parliamentary Immigration and Displaced Committee stressed the necessity of ending the file of the displaced in Iraq and their return to their areas of origin.

The Head of the Committee, MP Sharif Suleiman Ali, said in a press statement today, Friday, that "the government's denial of the Sinjar agreement exacerbates the crisis of the displaced and prevents their return to their homes," noting a terrible traffic accident that killed one of the displaced and injured 30 others in Qadhiya camp for the displaced people.

He added, "The victims are displaced persons residing in Qadhiya camp, located in Dohuk, and they were on their way back from working in one of the agricultural fields in the region," pointing to the necessity of "ending the file of the displaced in Iraq and their return to their areas."

He concluded by saying: "It is very shameful for the government that the file of the displaced remains unresolved until now."
