His money exceeded two billion dinars.. Integrity Commission will summon the current Iraqi Ambassador to Turkey

The Federal Integrity Commission revealed that a summons order was issued against the current Iraqi Ambassador to Turkey, after monitoring an inflation in his funds.

The Supreme Commission for Combating Corruption stated in a statement that "the investigating judge of the Central Anti-Corruption Criminal Court in Baghdad issued an order to bring in the current Iraqi Ambassador to Turkey, on the background of the Commission's prevention department monitoring an inflation of his funds."

It explained, "The technical report of the Prevention Department stated that the amount of inflation amounted to (2,304,787,000) dinars."

it added, "A criminal case was opened against the Ambassador, after it was found that the value of the inflation in his money is not commensurate with his usual resources, which indicates the existence of illegal gain, as well as his concealment of information in his financial disclosure form, as he provided false information and misleading about the sources of his funds.”

The Commission stated that "the recruitment order issued against the accused by the Central Anti-Corruption Criminal Court came based on the provisions of Article (19/Second) of the Amended Integrity and Illicit Gain Commission Law No. (30 of 2011).
