Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi, head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, stressed the importance of cooperation and integration between the legislative and executive authorities.

"The two sides discussed the political situation in the country, and the oversight and legislative role of the House of Representatives, in line with the government's priorities and implementation of its program," the office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a statement.

The meeting stressed "the importance of cooperation and integration between the legislative and executive authorities, and work to provide services to the citizen."
