ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed an agreement worth $500 million to enhance Islamabad’s capacity to adapt to climate change and natural disasters. The agreement was signed by Ministry of Economic Affairs Secretary Dr. Kazim Niaz and ADB Country Director Emma Fan in Islamabad today.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Pakistani Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema stated that the signing of the agreement reflects the Pakistani government’s commitment to addressing climate challenges. He noted that the program aims to enhance Pakistan’s capacity to adapt to climate change and manage natural disaster risks.
