Over 75,000 Vehicles Head to Makkah via Major Road Networks on 5th Day of Dhu Al-Hijjah

Makkah: The Roads General Authority recorded the transit of more than 75,000 vehicles on the highway networks leading into Makkah on the 5th of Dhu Al-Hijjah, maintaining active logistics and security oversight for the 1447 AH Hajj season.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road accommodated the highest volume with 22,053 vehicles, followed closely by the Taif-Makkah Road via Al-Sail Al-Kabeer with 15,304, and Al-Laith Road with 12,171. The remaining traffic split smoothly across the Hijrah Road (9,221), Al-Hada mountain pass (7,677), Bahra (6,337), and the direct Makkah-Jeddah arterial route (3,704).

The authority confirmed its ongoing operational, 24/7 field readiness across all checkpoints and arteries to monitor congestion, optimize safety protocols, and ensure a comfortable, fluid transit experience for incoming pilgrims heading toward the holy sites.
