Jeddah-- Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha has welcomed the swearing-in of President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi and members of the council before the parliament in its session that was held yesterday in the interim capital Aden.

The secretary general expressed his sincerest congratulations for the president and members of the council and the Yemeni people, wishing the council success in its historic mission.

He also said that the secretariat general of OIC is optimistic in establishing the council that is considered an important achievement that would open new scopes for a peaceful solution and new stage in the history of Yemen.

The secretary general also said that the Yemeni people are looking forward to the efforts that will be exerted by the Presidential Leadership Council at various levels to put an end to the Yemeni crisis and realize security, stability and economic and social development, in a bid to alleviate the humanitarian suffering of Yemenis, which are efforts that require all kinds of support and encouragement.
