Diyala police forces carried out a night security exercise to impose the rule of law within the sector of responsibility.

Colonel Haitham Al-Shammari, the media spokesman for the Diyala Police Command, told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): "Police forces carried out a night security exercise in Baquba and the surrounding areas to track down the wanted persons and impose the rule of law."

He added: "The security practice came in order to enforce the law and enhance security and societal peace, so that Diyala governorate can enjoy permanent security and stability."
