The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, congratulated Pavel Talabani in a phone call today, Monday, on the occasion of the success of the Patriotic Union Conference and the re-election of Head of the Union.
The media office of the Presidency of the Region stated, in a statement, that “Nechirvan Barzani wished the Head and leadership of the National Union success in their duties, and that the Union, the National Union, and the political forces would work to enhance cooperation, unity of ranks, consensus, and joint work, and that everyone would play his role in protecting the constitutional rights of the Kurdistan Region.”
For his part, the Head of the PUK expressed his thanks to Barzani for his call and congratulations
