National Center for Meteorology Forecasts Thunderstorms Across Saudi Arabia Through September 9

Riyadh: The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has forecast thunderstorms of varying intensity across several regions of Saudi Arabia from Saturday through Wednesday, September 5 to 9.

According to Saudi Press Agency, conditions will range from light rain accompanied by dust-stirring downdrafts reaching 50 km/h to heavy rainfall exceeding 50 millimeters per hour. NCM has warned that moderate to heavy thunderstorms may bring flash floods, hail, high waves along the coast, and strong wind gusts exceeding 60 km/h.

Initial forecasts indicate that rainfall may continue into late next week. The NCM has urged the public to monitor updates through its official platforms, including the Anwaa early-warning application, and follow safety instructions issued by the relevant authorities.
