MWL commends Hajj Ministry’s announcement, returning the number of pilgrims to Pre-Corona numbers

Makkah-- The Muslim World League (MWL) praised the Hajj Ministry’s announcement to return the number of pilgrims this year, 1444 AH, to what it was before the Corona pandemic, without any age restrictions.

MWL Secretary-General, Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, on behalf of the League’s academies, bodies, and global councils, and on behalf of the Muslim scholars affiliated under the MWL umbrella, valued this announcement, highlighting all efforts and precautions employed to serve and ensure the safety of the pilgrims.

Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa underlined the decision to allow any Hajj mission from anywhere to deal with any licensed company that meets the requirements needed by the pilgrims of their respective countries, in addition to reducing the cost of insurance for Umrah performers by 63%, and reducing the cost of insurance for pilgrims by 73%, in addition to the eligibility of any visitor to the Kingdom with a visit visa to roam around the Kingdom, as well as the right of any visitor to the Kingdom to perform Umrah at any time.

He stressed that these measures add to the Kingdom's record in serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, noting the exceptional model that the Kingdom continues to present to the world in managing this noble ritual, including the means of comfort and care it provides for pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors; to perform their rituals easily.
