London: The Muslim World League has expressed approval of the British government's recent decision to prohibit the import of goods from Israeli settlements located in the occupied Palestinian territories. The decision also includes restrictions on services tied to these settlements. Additionally, the League welcomed a statement supporting a two-state solution issued by the foreign ministers of Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the General Secretariat of the League released a statement in which His Excellency the Secretary-General, Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, praised this significant stance. He emphasized the importance of supporting the historical and legal rights of the Palestinian people. Dr. Al-Issa urged the international community to fulfill its legal and moral obligations by halting Israeli government violations and implementing effective measures to counter attempts to alter demographic or geographic realities in the occupied territories through illegal settlement activities.

His Excellency also recognized the substantial support from statements issued by the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt. These nations have demonstrated firm solidarity with the Palestinian people and unwaveringly support their legitimate rights, including the right to establish a state based on the two-state solution and relevant international resolutions. The statement highlighted this approach as the sole path to achieving a just and lasting peace in the region.
