Makkah: The Muslim World League has expressed its commendation for the Makkah Agreement for Joint Defense, a significant accord between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Turkey, and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. This landmark agreement emerged from the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Summit for Joint Defense, which was hosted in Makkah Al-Mukarramah following the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the Makkah Agreement was signed by notable leaders including His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey, and Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif of Pakistan. The Muslim World League's General Secretariat issued a statement in which Secretary-General Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa emphasized the importance of this agreement. He highlighted that it strengthens the bonds of brotherhood and Islamic solidarity, aiming to enhance security and promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the region and beyond.

His Excellency Dr. Al-Issa expressed hope that these efforts will be blessed and beneficial, extending his prayers for those responsible for these initiatives. The agreement is seen as a pivotal step towards fostering a collaborative defense strategy among the three nations, with the potential to contribute significantly to regional and international peace.
