Riyadh: The skies over Saudi Arabia: witnessed a conjunction of the waxing crescent moon and Venus this evening. Visible to the naked eye along the western horizon after sunset, the periodic alignment occurred due to the regular orbital movements of the moon and planets.

According to Saudi Press Agency, skywatchers documented the twilight event using smartphones and digital cameras, while binoculars provided a clearer view of the crescent's details and earthshine on the unlit portion of the moon.
