Miqat Dhu Al-Hulayfah Undergoes Massive Renovation for Pilgrim Comfort

Cannes: The Miqat Dhu Al-Hulayfah Mosque has undergone a series of development and renovation projects as part of a broader strategy to enhance services for pilgrims and improve their spiritual experience.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the upgrades included expanding the mosque's capacity from 5,000 to more than 15,000 worshippers. This expansion was complemented by the installation of new carpets and an advanced sound system featuring over 190 internal and external speakers, enhancing the auditory experience for pilgrims.

The improvements also featured more than 24 walkways to facilitate movement within the Miqat area. Additionally, over 600 trees and shrubs have been planted, and more than 7,000 lighting fixtures have been installed to enhance both aesthetics and operational efficiency of the area.

In an effort to provide comprehensive facilities, the area now includes over 40 retail outlets, such as caf©s and service shops, offering convenience for the pilgrims. A modern surveillance system with more than 300 cameras has also been installed to support safety and operations.

These developments are part of ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and services for pilgrims during the 1447 AH Hajj season.
