Tirana: The Ministry of Culture is set to organize Saudi Cultural Week in the Republic of Albania from September 16 to 20, 2025, at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana. The event will open a window for cultural exchange between the two friendly countries, providing the Albanian public with the opportunity to experience Saudi culture and strengthen shared cultural ties.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Cultural Week will feature diverse participation from the Saudi cultural system, including the Heritage Commission, the Music Commission, the Libraries Commission, the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, the Film Commission, the Culinary Arts Commission, the Fashion Commission, and the Theater and Performing Arts Commission. Also participating are the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (Wrth) and the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Global Center for Arabic Calligraphy. Together, these entities will present a distinctive program that reflects the richness of Saudi culture.
The program will include musical and performing arts shows, an exhibition of rare Arabic manuscripts preserved by the Saudi library, screenings of Saudi films, displays of traditional fashion, an Arabic calligraphy exhibition, presentations on UNESCO-listed World Heritage Sites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a replica of historic sites exhibition, and authentic Saudi hospitality featuring Saudi coffee. Culinary arts presentations will also be offered, alongside a variety of workshops for practitioners and artists from both sides, as well as panel discussions featuring intellectuals and authors.
The “Year of Handicrafts 2025” initiative will also participate with an informative pavilion highlighting the historical and cultural significance of handicrafts, with a dedicated craftsman engaging directly with visitors.
The Saudi Cultural Week in Albania comes as part of a series of cultural weeks that the Ministry of Culture continues to organize in a number of brotherly and friendly countries, aiming to enhance cultural exchange as one of the goals of the National Culture Strategy under Saudi Vision 2030, and to strengthen the presence of Saudi culture on the international stage.
