Baghdad - The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, announced the study of a new project through which a citizen can obtain a residence card while at home.
The Ministry stated in a statement: “In his effort to reduce red tape and provide services to citizens, the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, visited the Directorate of the Central Information Office, which is responsible for issuing residence cards to citizens.”
The Minister made a set of recommendations that would enhance the work towards transitioning to electronic work, like other developed countries.
He reviewed a draft project presented by the Directorate within the scope of its transformation to electronic work, so that the citizen can obtain a Residence Card at his home without review, as the Minister included this project for study for the purpose of implementing it on the ground in order to serve citizens at the level that suits them.
