Meteorology Center Deploys 21 Stations to Monitor Hajj Heat Wave in Holy Sites

Mecca: The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) is utilizing 21 specialized field stations distributed across the holy sites to monitor high temperatures hourly amid an active regional heat wave expected to subside tomorrow evening. Strategically deployed to support the operational blueprints of emergency and logistics sectors, these stations capture immediate, highly accurate weather data on the ground.

According to Saudi Press Agency, NCM spokesperson Hussein Al-Qahtani confirmed that technical teams are monitoring conditions round the clock while heavily scaling up joint public awareness initiatives with relevant Hajj authorities. These efforts aim to deliver heat prevention tips directly to pilgrims to safeguard them from heat stress during their movements.
