Riyadh: The King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) and the King Faisal Prize (KFP) organized a seminar on medicine and literature between human creativity and artificial intelligence (AI) as part of the cultural program between the two entities, in the presence of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the KFCRIS Prince Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz. A group of academics and specialists in literature, AI, and intellectual property attended the seminar.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the seminar addressed the transformations brought about by AI in the fields of creativity and knowledge, the relationship between human production and content generated by modern technologies, and the questions these transformations raise regarding the concept and boundaries of creativity, as well as the future relationship between humans and machines.

It also discussed the impact of artificial intelligence applications on literature and scientific research, including their ability to emulate human experience and generate texts, as well as the importance of preserving the human and intellectual value of creativity amid the rapid development of these technologies.

The seminar examined a number of issues related to copyright and intellectual property in the age of AI, the challenges posed by generative technologies to the protection of intellectual and creative output, and the scientific and ethical considerations surrounding the use of AI in knowledge, medical, and literary fields.

The seminar is part of the cultural and intellectual programs organized by KFCRIS and KFP to enrich scientific discussion of contemporary issues, promote dialogue between the humanities and the sciences, and explore the impact of modern technologies on the future of knowledge and creativity.
