Mauritius President Praises Saudi Efforts in Promoting Arabic Language Globally

Riyadh: President of the Republic of Mauritius Dharambeer Gokhool praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts to promote the Arabic language globally through initiatives led by government entities and contributions from nongovernmental institutions. He stressed that this integration reflects a firm commitment to enhancing the language's cultural and knowledge presence internationally.

According to Saudi Press Agency, his remarks came during a reception for the Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Charitable Foundation's delegation on the sidelines of their official visit to the Republic of Mauritius. The delegation reviewed key achievements of the Arabic for Non-Arabic Speakers Curriculum Support Project and its impact on developing Arabic language education and enhancing cultural and knowledge exchange among peoples.

He expressed his appreciation for the foundation as one of the active nongovernmental entities supporting the teaching of Arabic to non-native speakers. He praised its role in developing educational and training programs that empower teaching staff and improve the quality of outcomes.

He also highlighted the project's contributions to qualifying teachers, updating curricula, and strengthening the presence of the Arabic language in educational institutions. These efforts support the development of local capacities capable of promoting the language through modern and effective methods.
