Massoud Barzani and the British Ambassador stress the necessity of holding elections in Kurdistan

The Head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani, and the new British Ambassador to Iraq, Stephen Hitchin, stressed the necessity of holding elections in the Kurdistan region.

Barzani's office stated in a statement: "During the meeting, which was attended by the British consul in Erbil, Rosie Cave, views were exchanged on the situation in Iraq and the region, the latest developments in the Iraqi political process, and the relations between the central and regional governments."

The British Ambassador to Iraq expressed his happiness at working in Iraq and communicating with the political leadership during his work.

The British Ambassador also expressed his country's support for the political process in the Kurdistan region, holding elections and expanding relations between the two sides.
