Makkah Route Initiative Streamlines Baggage Processing for Pilgrims at Dhaka Airport

Dhaka: The Makkah Route Initiative's technical system, implemented by a Saudi team at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, enables electronic coding and linking of pilgrims' baggage to their data, streamlining travel for Hajj.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative's team ensures the direct transport of pilgrims' baggage to their accommodations in Makkah and Madinah, removing the need for collection upon arrival. This system reduces effort and time, enabling pilgrims to proceed directly to their residences without inconvenience.

The Makkah Route Initiative is among the Ministry of Interior's initiatives within the Pilgrim Experience Program. It seeks to facilitate pilgrims' entry procedures into the Kingdom for Hajj by leveraging advanced technologies and coordinating the efforts of various governmental and private entities.

The baggage coding service under the Makkah Route Initiative is a key technical solution implemented by the Saudi Post (SPL). This service enhances efficiency and improves the pilgrim experience, reflecting the continuous development of Hajj services year after year.
