Madinah: Madinah Region Development Authority continues to implement urban development projects in the central area surrounding the Prophet's Mosque as part of efforts to enhance the city's urban environment and improve services for pilgrims and visitors.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the projects include the development of more than 41,000 square meters of sidewalks, planting over 6,200 trees, the construction of more than 3,000 meters of dedicated pathways for people with disabilities and the visually impaired, and the installation of over 190 lighting poles along surrounding roads.
These initiatives aim to create safer, more accessible, and pedestrian-friendly spaces, while increasing green areas to improve air quality, provide shade, and enhance the overall experience around the Prophet's Mosque.
