Kuwait Strongly Condemns Israeli Forces Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

New York, Apr. 26, 2022, SPA -- The State of Kuwait has strongly denounced the Israeli occupation forces recent storming of Al-Aqsa mosque, it was reported here today.

The Kuwaiti position came during a speech delivered by the Charge de Affaires of Kuwait's permanent delegation to the United Nations Minister Plenipotentiary Badr Al-Maneekh before an open-discussion session of the UN Security Council on the Middle East, including the Palestinian cause.

The world community is closely following the flagrant escalation witnessed by the Palestinian territories due to the crimes and offenses committed by Israel against the Palestinian people, Al-Maneekh said, citing the storming of Al-Aqsa mosque by the Israeli forces few days ago and their attacks against worshippers.

He reiterated Kuwait's strong denunciation and condemnation of this act, considering such attacks as provocative to the feelings of Muslims and a blatant violation of the international charters and resolutions.

He called on the world community, particularly the Security Council, to shoulder its responsibility to hold the Israeli forces fully accountable of the repercussions of the continuation of such illegal and provocative crimes and practices in the sacred places.

He also called for collective campaign for intensifying international efforts to restore inclusive tranquility and focus on opportunities of reviving peace in the Middle East.
