KSrelief’s Prosthetics Initiative Impacts Over 7,600 Lives in Marib

Riyadh: As part of its ongoing efforts to support the Yemeni people and alleviate their suffering, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) implemented the 11th phase of its Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center Project in Marib Governorate between January 1 and May 31, 2026. This initiative provided prosthetic limbs and physical rehabilitation services to patients with mobility disabilities resulting from various types of injuries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the project manufactured 300 new prosthetic limbs of various types, including upper- and lower-limb prostheses, over a 12-month period. It also offered physical rehabilitation services to 3,600 beneficiaries, technical rehabilitation services to 650 beneficiaries, and medical and technical consultations to 3,080 beneficiaries, enhancing access to integrated rehabilitation services.

The project also generated 47 jobs for local personnel involved in its implementation, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 7,677. The initiative contributes to the sustainability of rehabilitation services and improves the quality of care provided to beneficiaries. The project forms part of the medical services offered by KSrelief to patients, injured individuals, and people with disabilities among the Yemeni population.
