Riyadh: The General Directorate of Civil Defense has underscored the critical need for equipping homes with essential safety devices to safeguard lives and property. These devices are pivotal in enhancing preparedness for accidents and fires while also helping to mitigate their impact.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the directorate emphasized the importance of key home safety equipment such as smoke detectors, fire blankets, fire extinguishers, and gas detectors. These tools play a vital role in enabling a rapid response to emergencies and in limiting the spread of fires, thus reducing potential damage and casualties.

Additionally, the directorate has urged the public to adhere to the safety guidelines and instructions it disseminates through various media outlets and social media platforms. It has also advised residents to dial 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, and 998 in other parts of the Kingdom, to request emergency assistance promptly.
